Requirements and guidelines for passengers arriving in the Russian Federation.

Cancellation of PCR tests when entering Russia and after arrival

Decree of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation dated October 17, 2022 N 22 “On Amendments to the Resolution of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation dated March 18, 2020 N 7 “On Ensuring Isolation to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19” came into force ".

According to the decree, the requirement for foreign nationals traveling to the Russian Federation to present a negative PCR test result when boarding an aircraft and when crossing the state border has been cancelled.

For Russians returning to the country, the requirement to undergo PCR testing within three calendar days upon arrival and to observe isolation until the results are received has been canceled.

Thus, all persons arriving in the Russian Federation from October 21, 2022 (regardless of the mode of transport) are exempted from the obligation to undergo a laboratory test for COVID-19.


Visa Requirements

In accordance with the Order of the Government of the Russian Federation of June 14, 2022 N 1552-r, all previously introduced temporary restrictions on the entry of foreign citizens (regardless of their nationality) and stateless persons into the Russian Federation through air and sea checkpoints across the state border are canceled by the Russian Federation.

Since July 15, Russia has lifted all coronavirus restrictions on crossing the land border, introduced in March 2020.
